Staff Veterinarians

 

Luke Wagner, DVM

 

Dr. Wagner is a graduate from Purdue University. He has been employed at APEC since July 1999. Dr. Wagner is happily married and a dedicated father to his daughter & son. In his spare time Dr. Wagner attends church, swims, cycles & loves to garden.

Michelle Hughes, DVM

 

Dr. Hughes is a graduate from Auburn University. She has been employed at APEC since December 2006. Dr. Hughes loves to garden in her free time. Her favorite rose is the Hybrid Tea.

Dr. Hughes also attends church & enjoys spending time with her family.

Sarah Henry, DVM

 

Dr. Henry is a graduate from Purdue University. She has been employed at APEC since January 2009. In her free time Dr. Henry takes care of her cats and 2 dogs, attends arts & craft shows, knits, reads, & travels. Dr. Henry enjoys treating exotic pets & learning new activities.

Office Managers

 

Toni has been employed at APEC since July 1999 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has been in a position of management since 2005. She began working as the Finance Director in 2008. Toni is a loving and dedicated mother to her 2 children and her dogs and cat. She is very involved in church as well as busy home schooling her children.

Amanda H. has been employed at APEC since 2001 as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated from Ivy Tech in 2006 with an AAS in Business Administration with a Specialty in Management. Since 2008 Amanda has also been working as the Staffing Director. She has been happily married since 2002, has 2 children, and a multitude of pets.

Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, going to church, and reading in her spare time.

 

 

Veterinary Technicians

 

 

Carrie has been employed at APEC since September 2006. She graduated from Purdue’s Veterinary Technician program in December 2009. Carrie is married and the mother of 2 girls. In addition to working at APEC Carrie is also employed at Newburgh Plaza.

Kelli S. has been employed at APEC since April 2008. She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2009.

She graduated from Murray in May 2008 with a BS in Animal Health Technology. Kelli is a talented clarinet player and is interested in one day owning a flock of sheep.

Rachel has been employed at APEC since November 2008. She graduated from Parkland College in May 2008 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. Rachel is married and the dedicated mom to 4 cats. Rachel is motivated to put forth a great effort because she believes animals deserve the best Every Day!

 

 

                                                             

Veterinary Assistants               

 

 

Kelli H. has been an employee of APEC since November

2005. In addition to working at the emergency clinic, she works relief at Animal Medical Services. Kelli has been married to her husband Chris since 2007; together they have 2 cats & a St. Bernard. Currently they are focused on raising their family. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys reading.

Scott has been an employee of APEC since February 2007.

He is currently attending school to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology.

 

 

Amanda S. has been an employee of APEC since February 2007. She is currently attending school in pursuit of a degree in Elementary education with a minor in Social Work. Amanda has two cats and a turtle. She enjoys helping both children and pets and loves to read in her spare time.

Angelena has been working as a Veterinary Assistant since 1998. She is the mother of two and has two grandsons. Angelena enjoys music and dance, working out, sports and playing the guitar.

 

 

Michelle has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. She is a Licensed Dental Hygienist; however she is continuing to pursue an education and hopes to go to Vet school. In her free time she enjoys sports, movies, music, and scrapbooking. Michelle loves spending time with family and friends.

Jolly has been working in the veterinary field since 2008. She works at Chateau Cat & Dog Hospital along with APEC. She has been married to her husband Robert since 2007. Jolly has 2 cats & 3 dogs. She loves working with animals and their owners. She has made some good relationships with owners due to their pets.

Jolly’s hobbies include car shows, traveling, motorcycle riding, decorating cakes, and being with friends at cruise-ins. She belongs to the Stang Addiction of Evansville, IN club.

 

 

Holly has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. She is pursuing a Veterinary Technology degree online. In addition to working at APEC she also works at Parkdale Animal Hospital. In her free time she enjoys singing, baking, & gardening.

Caresse has been working in the veterinary field since 2003. In addition to working at APEC she also works at Epperson’s Veterinary Services.

Caresse has an Associates Degree from Ivy Tech in Photography.

Caresse loves working with exotics & hopes to one day work with large cats.

 

 

Jamie has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. She is currently pursuing a Veterinary Technology degree. Jamie is the mother of 3 boys as well as her cats and a dog. In her spare time, Jamie loves to read.

Kristen has been employed by APEC since 2010. She has previous experience working for the VHS. Kristen is currently attending school and continues to pursue her interest in Photography in addition to being a new mom!
